PhilosophyWiki would like to thank...
A collaborative web site like PhilosophyWiki is only as good as its user community, and we would like to thank all of our users and contributors for their time and editorial content. We would also like to acknowledge the contributions of the following people and organisations towards the design and development of the site:
- PhilosophyWiki was designed and implemented by Keith Wilson of The University of York during August and September of 2006, and is based on an original idea by Keith Wilson and Tom Stoneham.
- The University of York for having the vision and foresight to support the project in its early stages.
- The Research Information Network for providing the initial funding for the development of the site.
- Hamish Priest of GoodSpace.net for web hosting and persistence in the face of adversity.
- This site is powered by MediaWiki, MySQL, PHP and Apache, and was developed on an Apple Mac (click here for additional details and licence information).
Thanks also to all of our beta testers and everyone else who has contributed to the site – without you there would be no PhilosophyWiki!
Feedback and suggestions
The design and implementation of the site is available under Creative Commons share-alike licence for non-commercial use. If you would like to set up your own meta-research wiki in another subject area, have suggestions as to how we can improve or develop the site, or to participate in our ongoing beta testing programme, please contact us for further information.
